World No. 18 Elina Svitolina has expressed her emotions after securing a spot in the final of the tournament in Rouen. She will face Serbia`s Olga Danilovic in the championship match.
Speaking in an on-court interview, Svitolina revealed the special motivation she received:
“Gaël [Monfils] said at the start of the tournament that he would come to the final if I made it there. That became a big motivation for me. So, it looks like he will be here tomorrow to support me.”
Earlier in the tournament, Elina Svitolina successfully advanced through the rounds to reach this final stage.
