Tommy Fury Mocks Jake Paul’s Anthony Joshua Challenge

Boxing news

Tommy Fury has responded to Jake Paul`s recent call-out of Anthony Joshua, reminding him of his previous defeat.

Tyson Fury`s younger brother defeated `The Problem Child` by split decision in February 2023.

While Tommy Fury also secured a win against KSI in October of the same year, he has been inactive due to a hand injury.

Conversely, Jake Paul has been active, achieving five victories against opponents including Nate Diaz, Mike Perry, and boxing icon Mike Tyson. His fight with Tyson on Netflix attracted a large audience of 60 million viewers in November.

Tommy Fury`s Reaction to Potential Paul vs. Joshua Bout

Following his recent successes, Jake Paul has set his sights on bigger names in boxing.

A potential match with Canelo Alvarez was rumored, but Alvarez ultimately signed with Turki Alalshikh.

Paul then shifted his focus to Anthony Joshua, a former two-time heavyweight world champion. Joshua seems to be considering the fight, even after Paul, a boxing novice, questioned his boxing abilities.

Tommy Fury, however, believes the idea of Paul fighting Joshua is absurd.

In a video on his Instagram story, Fury stated, “Just wanted to remind everyone that that bum couldn’t beat me when I basically had a broken hand.”

He continued, “I had one hand, and he still lost. Jake Paul, I’m still your daddy, and everybody weighing this fight up, don’t bother because it ain’t worth a shilling.”

Fury concluded, “And the loss will always be there, Mr. Paul. Take it easy and have a good day.”

Tommy Fury`s Return to the Ring

Tommy Fury was scheduled to fight former UFC fighter Darren Till on January 18 but withdrew after Till suggested using kicks during their bout.

However, Fury has hinted at an imminent return to boxing.

In another Instagram story, he mentioned, “I’m in the best shape of my life, fit and ready to go. Got some really big fight news on the way for you guys… Stay tuned.”
