Tottenham Pursue Eberechi Eze: Palace Star Open to Summer Move

Football news

Eberechi Eze is reportedly keen on being a key player in Thomas Frank`s rebuilding efforts at Tottenham.

The new Spurs manager, Thomas Frank, is looking to sign a winger this summer, and Crystal Palace`s Eberechi Eze is a primary target.

However, Frank faces competition for the England international, as several other clubs are also interested.

While sources indicate that Eze`s departure from Selhurst Park this summer isn`t certain, there`s a strong possibility he will move.

The versatile winger is reportedly attracted by the opportunity to play for Spurs in the Champions League.

Tottenham have been following Eze`s progress for several years.

His reputation has grown steadily since he joined Palace from QPR five years ago, highlighted by his winning goal against Manchester City in the FA Cup final in May.

A week before the Wembley win, he also scored twice in Palace`s 2-0 victory at Spurs.

Eze`s contract with Crystal Palace reportedly includes a release clause of approximately £60 million.

However, club insiders suggest that the payment terms for this clause are complicated.

New Spurs manager Thomas Frank is keen to add a new winger this summer, particularly if captain Son Heung-min, who is a target for Saudi Pro League clubs, departs.

There is also significant interest in Bryan Mbeumo, a player linked with Man Utd, who scored 20 Premier League goals for Frank at Brentford last season, although reports of an existing bid have been downplayed.

Bournemouth`s Antoine Semenyo is another player the club admires.

It`s unclear whether Spurs, having already made Mathys Tel`s loan move permanent for £30 million this month, would have sufficient funds to sign both Mbeumo and Eze.
