UFC fans were highly amused by a prank from fighter Ian Machado Garry, who made a funny attempt to disrupt a rival`s strict weight-cutting diet.

The Irish competitor is serving as the reserve fighter for the upcoming bout between Belal Muhammad and Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 315 this Saturday.

Della Maddalena`s interview was hilariously gatecrashed by Garry`s son offering him M&Ms

With Della Maddalena focused on shedding weight to meet the fight requirements, Garry devised a clever way to tempt the Australian and potentially make him miss weight.

Garry reportedly used AI to discover Della Maddalena`s favorite treat, which turned out to be peanut M&Ms.

In a brilliant move, Garry sent his two-year-old son, Leo, to interrupt one of Della Maddalena`s interviews and offer him a large bag of the colourful candies.

Della Maddalena found the gesture amusing as little Leo held up the bag and said, “Gift for you.”

A smiling Della Maddalena accepted, responding, “They look good, thank you. Legend.”

He then shared a high-five with Leo before the toddler returned to his father.

Fans online were highly entertained by the stunt. Comments included “Garry doing everything so he doesn`t hit the weight,” “Leo is a gentleman,” and “This was so wholesome.”

Earlier, Garry had also had his son playfully `interview` Belal Muhammad, who jokingly called Leo “the best interviewer he had so far”.

Despite the lighthearted moment, Garry also spoke seriously about potential opponents. He criticized Sean Brady, stating, “Sean Brady, boring. No one really cares about him. No one really wants to watch him fight… They don’t care about him.”

He contrasted this with his own willingness to “tak[e] fights on short notice against the most dangerous guys in the division,” questioning how this might affect future title opportunities.
