Valero Texas Open 2025: Viewing Guide and Schedule

Golf news

The Valero Texas Open is being held at The Oaks Course at TPC San Antonio for the 15th consecutive year, marking the PGA Tour`s final stop in Texas. Following Min Woo Lee`s victory at the Texas Children`s Houston Open, a field of 156 players will compete in San Antonio for a last-minute chance to qualify for the Masters Tournament. Only the tournament winner, if not already qualified, will secure a spot in the first major of the year.

Akshay Bhatia won last year`s Valero Texas Open in a playoff against Denny McCarthy, and both players are returning to compete again. Bhatia will be playing for the first time since his third-place tie at the Players Championship in March. McCarthy is seeking a win after achieving five top-20 finishes this season. Corey Conners is a two-time Valero Texas Open champion, having won in 2019 and 2023. A total of $9.5 million in prize money is at stake in San Antonio, with the winner receiving $1,710,000.
