Sport news

On Wednesday, June 2nd, not all scheduled men`s second-round matches at Wimbledon were completed.

The reason for halting several contests was the fading light. The following matches were interrupted:

  • Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (Spain, 26) – Botic van de Zandschulp (Netherlands) – current score 6/1, 4/6, 6/3, 5/5
  • Arthur Rinderknech (France) – Cristian Garin (Chile, LL) – 3/6, 6/3, 7/6(3)
  • Felix Auger-Aliassime (Canada, 25) – Jan-Lennard Struff (Germany) – 6/3, 6/7(9)
  • Luciano Darderi (Italy) – Arthur Fery (Great Britain, WC) – 6/4, 6/3

At the time of the suspension, the only ongoing match was taking place under the roof on Court No. 1 between Taylor Fritz and Gabriel Diallo.

Meanwhile, Polish player Kamil Majchrzak has already secured his spot in the third round by defeating American Ethan Quinn with a score of 6/1, 6/4, 6/3. In the next round, he will play the winner of the Rinderknech – Garin match.
