In an unusual display, 17-year-old German tennis player Diego Dedura-Palomero, ranked 547th in the world, marked his debut victory in the main draw of an ATP tournament in a peculiar way.

Competing as a lucky loser in the first round of the ATP 500 clay-court tournament in Munich, Germany, Dedura-Palomero faced off against Canadian Denis Shapovalov, the world No. 29. Dedura-Palomero won the first set 7-6(2) and was leading 3-0 in the second set when Shapovalov retired from the match due to injury.

Following the handshake at the net, Dedura-Palomero initially celebrated his advancement to the second round with a shout, then tossed his headband onto the court. Subsequently, he proceeded to draw a cross on the court with his foot, and upon completing it, lay down on it with his arms and legs outstretched.
